Improving access to finance for household consumption smoothing and small business development

  • We support community members to group themselves into self-selecting savings groups using the Savings Internal Lending Communities Model (SILC).
  • We train the groups and help them to develop their constitutions, how to conduct their meetings and record keeping.
  • We link the groups to the financial institutions and Mobile Money Operators for safekeeping of their funds.
  • We monitor the groups to assess compliance to the constitution and growth of their funds.
